Golden Bears Edge Charleston 32--31 in Round of 16

https://kubears.com/news/2023/11/25/foo ... eston.aspx

The burning question is: Why didn't Kutztown submit a bid to host the Regional Final? They were seeded higher than SRU, and had already beaten "The Rock" once in the PSAC championship game. Slippery Rock did, and hence they get home field advantage next Saturday. Anybody out there have an answer?

Some Points About the Quarterfinals

The PSAC is the only conference with two participants remaining in the playoffs.

Valdosta State is one of two teams remaining who defeated a team (Delta State) they lost to in the regular season.

Slippery Rock will play a team Kutztown) this Saturday in the super regional final who beat them decisively in the PSAC Championship game.

How well will Grand Valley playing on the road handle Harding's extraordinary running game.

It seems a bit strange for Grand Valley not playing at home in a super regional final.

Central Washington far from Texas representing the LSC against Colorado Mines in a game being played in Colorado.

Anybody wish to add anything?

Scores for Super Regional Finals

Colorado Mines 38 Central Washington 14 No surprise with this one.

Harding 7 Grand Valley State Don't think anybody expected such a low scoring, defensive battle. This is the second time for
Harding in the national semis!

Lenoi-Rhyne 35 Valdosta State 7 A rather decisive win by Lenoir-Rhyne.

Kutztown 28 Slippery Rock 16 Kutztown proves the first win over SRU was the real deal!

Division II Semifinal Match-ups on Saturday, December 9

Lenoir-Rhyne will play Harding down in Arkansas.

Kutztown will have to make the trek to Colorado to play Colorado School of Mines.

None of these four schools have ever won the Division II national title. Many familiar faces are missing from the national semis this year. Kutztown has never been to the national semifinals. The games will be televised on ESPN Channels. Check out your local listings for times and specific channels. More later.

Harding Romps Over Lenoir-Rhyne

Harding crushed Lenoir-Rhyne 55--14. That IS incredible. One has to wonder about the inequality that exists between conferences with respect to overall strength.
