I don't know. Barajas has another year left on his contract, doesn't he??

Plus, not sure I want Sanchez sitting more than playing. Would rather see him play every day at AAA. Maybe they can unload Barajas at deadline next year and bring Sanchez up then. Look at us, discusssing NEXT YEAR in a GOOD WAY!

Barajas has an option for next year. EDIT: club option, not player option.

Is Alberto Cabrera's slider really that good? Six sliders out of the zone, six swing-and-misses.

mmm tough call. He has pretty much done all they expected of him. Been good with pitching staff. Unless Sanchez really started to light it up at AAA, I think I'd bring Barajas back to play maybe 30-40% of games. Having two good catchers, both above average defensively, plus some offense, is a real plus.

Pitiful at bats by Marte and especially Harrison. You think after the three strikes to Marte, Harrison would take a few pitches. Not one of those pitches was a strike.

Yes, seriiusly. He has been terrific this year.

Oh I'm watching it, amazing stuff. He just missed one earlier and even had another one deep to center. Power surge has been unreal this year. Loving it.

No WGN?

They were mainly just really ugly ABs, especially Marte's.

One person who would object to reducing Barajas's playing time would be AJ Burnett. AJ is particularly fond of Barajas's work behind the dish going back to their days in Toronto.

Yeah, watching television is not encouraged during work hours. ;-)

You know, it's wild how often the Bucs have done this all year. NO OFFENSE. NO OFFENSE. NO OFFENSE. THEN BOOM!

McCutchen just flies down the line...hell down any line. Should be a nice feel good win for the Bucs heading into a massive weekend series.

Hanrahan up to his old tricks again. Sheesh. Can this man never be decisive?

Well, I'm really glad we got those insurance runs.

Let Barajas catch for Burnett (and probably McDonald since he mimics AJ). That gives McKenry 3 out of 5. Keeps Barajas fresh too.

McKenry had some pop in the minors, so this isn't fluky. 69 HR's in 2100+ ab's, slugging .453. Not HR Derby-type power, but not a punch-and-judy type either.

I'm still not sure why Hammer was even in there with a 7 run lead...

The radio guys (Brown-Wehner) pretty much said that is what has been going on since the All-Star Break. McKenry is pretty much the starter.

Hanrahan needed some work, so they're letting him pitch batting practice. :?
