The Buccos are working the counts and really making Zito labor. Great start to the game!

Bedard seems like toast. We need better.

I thought if he stayed healthy, he could be a solid No. 3. He is barely a No. 5 at this point. And his control is Hanrahan like.

He's pitching like Paul Malholm on a terrible night.

He looks like a shell of his former self. He's got to go. I sure hope we give Lincoln or one of the AAA guys a chance after the break.

I'm disappointed in Bedard. Like bucco boy said, I thought he'd be a rock-solid #3.

The Giants have five runs on four hits with a two-run home run. That sucks.

He started so well tonight, too. I'm glad I held off talking trash to my father-in-law (A huge Giants fan). I had the message crafted on Facebook ready to send when Melky homered.

Alright Bucs. 2 runs down isn't bad.

Alvarez with another huge play at the hot corner to save a run. Whew! Only down two, this team has done it before!

Since June 2, Bedard has only had two (of seven) quality starts. Gotta think he could be headed to the DL soon with a tired arm.

The game isn't over by any stretch, but regardless I think Resop deserves one of the stars!!! Talk about putting the fire out of this Giants team... 2 and 1/3 innings in just 22 pitches! That is approaching Karstens territory for efficiency.

Looking at Bedard's game logs.

On May 9th he faced 3 batters in 1 IP (5 pitches) and then left the game. A week later he was back out on the mound, but since then (not counting tonight) he's posted a 6.08 ERA in 47.1 IP.

Anybody remember what injury forced him from that game?

There may have been some lingering effects...
