Chapman has really struggled since the Pirates pushed his first ER across.

Freak'n walks by relievers. Nothing irritates me more.

Why is your mop-up guy even in with that situation? Is the bullpen short?

I thought they would pull him after the walk. A classic example of losing by not putting your best out there.

No doubt...8 ER including 3 homeruns in 6 1/3 innings since (and including) the Pirates loss a couple of weeks ago.

Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture for a game like this. Sell-out crowd, chance to be in first place, you come back to tie the game against the best pitcher in then AL. I agree. Need to put your best out there.

I wonder if Clint would have went with Resop to start that half inning and if he did, would he have had a shorter chain?

Give Cutch credit. He gave it a ride.

Casey. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? 3-2 pitch and he has thrown three straight fast balls and you leave the bat on your shoulder?

And F-U Resop.

If Neil Walker plays instead of Josh Harrison, Bucs win...

Is the bench coach eligible? Because I'd give Banister second
Place votes behind Resop.

Only problem with that is Hurdle is still calling the shots from the clubhouse.

Clint Hurdle got too fancy benching Walker for such an important game right before we go on the road against the Phills and Cards...

Yes, Hurdle said no Grilli or Hughes and Watson would only work to one guy. That's why they went to Morris for the day. Really, Resop vs Delmon is a matchup we win most times.

This wasn't an important game though. We already won the series. These are the types of games that you rest guys if they need it.

I don't think that's a given. And Harrison came about 6 inches from changing that notion.
