Has Bedard always had control issues? The walks seem to be an issue with him.

I'm from Missouri.

It's sad that the Missouri-Kansas football rivalry is over.. :(

Pretty pathetic that I'm okay with us losing 4-2 with Hochevar on the mound.

And Josh Tomlin is shutting out the Redbirds.. it's on TV here (not cable for once.)

They will broadcast two Tribe games in St. Louis, one in Cincy.. but of course all three games vs. Pittsburgh are on cable. If I can scrounge ten bucks I'll see Pirates-Indians at Progressive Field
a week from tonight.

Good game. Solid starting pitching, good defense (Pedro and Jones in particular), some solid hitting by Walker, great 1-2 punch out of the pen with Grilli and Hammer.

Grilli is a testament to how good Huntington is at finding really, REALLY good bullpen arms on the free agent wire. It is fun to watch him pitch. He spots that mid-90's fastball and buries the nasty slider in the dirt.

1-2-3 innings are the norm, along with a K or three each inning.

I float around various forums of our opponents. Not every one, or even one for every team. Just ones that intrigue me. Not really a Pirates fan, but I love your ballpark and I would like to see the Pirates succeed. Afterall, I know how it feels to be a Pirates fan, just like you all know how it would feel to be a Royals fan.

I also have family that relocated to Wheeling, WV about ten years ago and they have adopted the Pirates as their home team, although they are still Royals fans first.
