Come on Bucs, you did it to Bailey, let's do it to Cueto!

Whatever Hurdle did seemed to work for Barajas and Barmes, at least short term. Let's hope it works with Pedro and Tabata!

Lead off single by fast runner. Hurdle doesn't have Presley running and has Walker swing away. A Walker K deprives Cutch and Jones from coming to bat with a RISP. Zero on the scoreboard.

Undermanaging?

okay, it looked like cutch was out when the pickoff happened live and then clint came out to argue. As he is arguing tim nervertt is saying "clint should be upset because the pirates got a bad call on that one"...he was clearly out and nervertt just makes himself sound dumber and dumber....the play was not really close

For an offensively starved team, we give up way too many outs on the base paths. And then to add insult to injury, we can't get anyone out. Dont we have an inter league series coming up with Detroit? I bet we give up SBs to Cabera and Fielder in that one.

What is the rule? I guess if he has it in the glove, it doesn't matter if he uses the wall to hold the ball in. It was a nice play, but you just assume these days the umps screw it up. How sad is that?

Man, Chapman is something else.

But you have to wonder why they would not make him a starter.

I wonder what has more wear and tear on his arm, going an inning several times a week or going longer once every five days.

I would say the average closer pitches maybe 4 innings a week.....a starter goes much more than that...but his pitching style looks like that of a closer...

perhaps the most amazing stat of the game was the work of slaten...3 innings only 27 pitches.. that is unbelievable

In this ballpark first base is scoring position. Stand there and wait for a homer would be my strategy.

I understand what Hurdle is doing with Alvarez, but we needed him in this game. He might have made the difference.

When Cutch was picked off, he and Hurdle were arguing that Cueto balked. Replays apparently show that he is balking, but the umps won't call it for some reason.

I thought the home plate umpire sucked in this game. Cueto's pitches were moving off the plate but he was calling them strikes. He was inconsistent and biased towards the home team.
