Fiers is exactly the kind of starting pitcher that Littlefield loved - good command, soft-tosser, works the corners.

Pirates should be able to get some good swings against him.

Scouting report on Fiers suggests a very deceptive delivery. Here's hoping that every hitter in the lineup is looking at center-to-right field today. Would love to see the right center wall dented repeatedly by Bucco bats today. That Brewers lineup looks awful capable of being dominated by MickieD today.

In any event, I'm taking the "under" on number of runs scored today. Get away day, two poor offenses, one dominant pitcher, the other with a deceptive delivery. This game might be over in less than 2:20.

I hate Barmes. Put in Harrison or Mercer

Walker follows the suggestion and hits a bomb off the center field back wall.

Fiers scares nobody.

News Alert:

"Major League Baseball announced that for the great and powerful Michael Fiers, the plate will be 26" wide, and not the standard 17."

Back to your regular programming.

Barmes error leads to a run. That 2-2 Curveball looked like it caught the corner to me. McDonald doesnt have his stuff today

MLB was very clear that the new 26" wide plate is ONLY for the great and powerful Michael Fiers.

This game is pretty hairy right now with the way the balls have been flying out.

Nice series-- finally at Miller Park. That's a sweep of the cubbies, 2/3 from thwe Reds, and now 2/3 from the Brewers in their building. Things are moving our way a little and let's build on this.
