Another nice one-run WIN! I did not watch or listen to any of the game except the bottom of the nineth! Anybody have any suggestions for corrections/additions to the list, let me know!

STARTER: Correia 6.1 innings 2 runs..and at HOME. GOOD START.

WINNER: Hanrahan has a real good 9th (11 pitches, 9 strikes, 2 strikeouts) with tie score and earns the win!

STAR #3: Cutch goes 2-3, with 2 intentional walks...steals 2 bases, scores one of our runs, but strikes out in the 9th when a hit would win the game.

STAR #2: Tabata...goes just 1-4, but also walks, scoring 2 of our 3 runs. He led off 9th with a hit, and subsequently scored the WINNING RUN!

STAR #1: He had only 1 hit, going 1-4, plus a walk, but Matt Hague drove in the game winner with a HBP. In a game like this, that earns the #1 star from me!

Honorable Mentions: Harrison went 0-3 to end his 10 game hitting streak, but had sac that led to a run, and drew a walk in the 9th that helped lead to the winning run. Alvarez went only 1-5, but he too drove in a run, nearly ended the game with a 3 run HR, moving the winning run to 3rd, and also made a steller defensive play yet again. Walker went 1-2 with 2 walks including one in the 9th that helped get that run home with HBP, also had an RBI. Correia kept the Bucs in the game. Lincoln was near perfect in 1.1 innings ( 17 pitches, 12 strikes), and Hanrahan was awesome.

A question...

Reading the article in the paper, sounds like Barajas's efforts on the two plays at the plate were well above average. In a one-run game, two plays at the plate were huge. Is this the case to those who saw it? If so, then Barajas needs an HM at well. Comments?

Well, nobody really seemed to care one way or the other, so I AM giving Barajas an HM for his outs at the plate!

I care. People need to start evaluating Rod on more than just his batting average.

Both plays were good. Nothing amazing however. The play on Maholm stood out to me. He absolutely deked Maholm into thinking the play was going to first. When the ball got to the plate Maholm didn't have time to slide. He tried to hop over Barajas' leg while he was tagged in the arse.

I am getting to like Barajas much better. Seems like a really good veteran addition to this team.

As I said, I ended up giving him the honorable mention, because I think he did more than his part to help with the one run win.
