I am surprised Hurdle put McCutchen in the starting lineup....he has benched players for lack of hustle in the past -he did so with cutch last year, and has done so a few times since, tabata was benched 3 days ago because of lack of hustle-

Did Cutch not hustle last night? I saw him lose focus, but not appeared to be hustling. Clint's favorite player to bench for lack of focus was definitely Rony Cedeno.

This offense is just tough to watch. Fun fact from DK twitter: Bucs with 4:1 K/BB ratio. The next closest in MLB HISTORY was the '68 Mets with 3.1 K/BB. Amazing how impatient and untalented this lineup is. But yeah...Morton has a good slider, etc., etc., blah blah blah.

How did the 69 Mets do?

Bassoon and/or IA Pirate -
Time to break out the STBHOF . . . right? Talk about awful. No . . . Morton wasn't spectacular but he kept them in the game. If I'm on that starting staff, I'd be ready to shoot any player outside of McCutchen. Right between the eyes.

No offense, but there is none.

How thrilling it must have been to see Gorkys take his first hacks.

At lease we only struck out 8 times.

Or because it would be insane to bench McCutchen based on a failure to hustle on a POP FLY.

Drew Sutton, the dude we had for 30 minutes the other day has 2 RBI for the D-Rays today which is pretty funny. Just struck out with the bases loaded though, which come to think of it would've made him a perfect fit for the Bucs.
