Up 3-2 after 2,5 Innings...

Good to see the Pirates bounce back after Morneau's 2-run Homerun of Ohly...

Alvarez Tripples!! Has this boy speed.. ?? Raynor Triples.. Good to see Crosby.. bad to know Cedeno would be a almost sure thing...

Doumit with 2 hits....

Pedro was 2 for 4 with triple, walk, 2 R, RBI. Wind or not, that will give him some confidence.

15 runs, 15 hits. Doumit, Alvarez, Crosby and Gimenez all with two hits. Crosby and Legend go yard. Chulk with 5 Ks in 2 IP, Claggett strikes out the side.

Plenty of good stuff from Bradenton today.

Not to dwell on the negative and not to mention the obvious about it being Spring Training and very early at that......I will....

With all of the balls flying around today, hits being hit and runs being scored:

1.) Moss went 0-2 although he did have a walk
2.) Cedeno went 0-3
3.) Pearce went 0-3

It I'm sure means nothing..... :?

Not positive but I also don't recall him with any hits in any of the previous games, and I know he's had at least one error. Crosby hit prior to today as well. I believe management has said it's not a competition, but it will be interesting to see how the rest of ST carries out at SS.

Another trend early on is that the pitchers expected to make the team are giving up runs, while the ones on the fringe are putting up zeroes.
