Hmmm, Karsten comes in to pitch the 8th, and guess who is scheduled up second?

How can you walk f'in Jason Kendall on four pitches with a four run lead? Mind boggling.

Well BD, I must say that at this point, I am not missing JW that much. Cedeno certainly has more pop in his bat.

Way to go, Buccos. I hope that Young prospers in the 2-hole, that Andy finds his strike, that Garrett Jones continues to rake, that Ronny Cedeno continues his Jack Wilson circa 2007 imitation, and that Doumit can recapture a bit of his hitting from last year.

The pitching is going to be okay. The team is loaded with power arms.

THAT'S what I'm talking about!

Good, solid win all around.

I'm not foolish enough to think that the Pirates can and/or should score 9 runs a game, but I just love how they finally started to capitalize on scoring opportunities and tag on hits.

This is what I expected from this crew since the deadline, some form of 'hey, the sky is the limit for us, let's just loosen up and go for it', Free-swinging baseball.

Glad the day off helped.

Keep the hits coming Burgh.

Milledge looks to me like he has average to slightly above average speed. He does not look particularly athletic, and actually looks a bit clumsy. And his throwing motion is truly bizarre, although his arm strength looks about average.

Only a fool would bring Hanrahan into a tight ballgame.

Yeah....the jury is out on Milledge.

That was Karstens' way to tell Kendall to take his base...
