Don't underestimate this umpire getting under AJ's skin affecting his performance. He is a veteran and it shouldn't happen, but it doesn't mean it didn't.

It was like the 5th pitch he missed. Two walks because of it and a run.

Yeah, that whole inning (and/or the one prior) it seemed like AJ was getting squeezed.

I must have been busy watching the Pens lose to notice the specifics of the ejection.

Martin must have said something under his breathe. Of course how incompetent people survive is by justifying there actions.i had a boss like that once.

If pens lose tonight, they are in big trouble! They've already had to resort back flower.

This team is so frustrating offensively. We can't do anything. And making a 1-6 pitcher look like cy young.

Kris Letang is so bad. He has been on the ice for 5 of the Boston goals. He is the main problem on defense.

Why was he here to begin with? These are the type of decisions I don't get...

Ya but they brought back Hughes?

I'm concerned about aj. He's supposed to be our ace, our go to guy. He's just not getting it done.

Morris pitched too many innings and Zagurski had an out clause so they brought him up over Hughes or Reid. With how taxed the bullpen is we couldn't afford to not have an arm available, and Karstens was headed to the 60-day DL which cleared up a spot on the 40 man.

Wasn't the worst move possible, he was having a great season at AAA.

Guess this proves he's more of a AAAA type. Too good for the minors but can't really be relied on here.

It was good that he could absorb some pitches tonight in garbage time though. So at least there's that. We needed it after the Reds game.

Atrocious effort by Blue tonight. Atrocious. Kudos to Mrtin for zinging him. Much deserved.

Far more important is the size of the zone that AJ had to work with. If he can't get corners, he has to throw far more hittable pitches. Ergo, balls deposited in the seats. The ump calls the corners, it's a different game.

Every time we play the Braves it's a reminder that Jason Heyward hasn't panned out in the slightest yet. I remember a lot of trolling I endured from Braves fans with Heyward vs. Pedro, since they were both on the top prospects lists at the same time, and I think they debuted in the same season. Despite Heyward being younger and everything, I think Pedro has still proven more at the MLB level so far and looks like a safer bet going forward.

Heyward certainly doesn't look like he's going to be a superstar player in the future.
