After tonight that will surely creep closer to .700.

Can HE play Short???

With any luck, Sanchez will drill Braun with a pitch, and Braun will charge the mound, leading to his suspension.

Sanchez' suspension? Ehhh, yeah, wow, tough luck.

If there's a positive spin to make here, it's that the Pirates have dropped the first game of the last 4 series... :|

Our defense today looks like a monkey trying to hump a football. (See Herb Brooks - Miracle)

I have to be honest with you. It's puzzling this Brewers lineup has 12 hits. Without Aramis, it's really weak on paper. But they crushed our pitching today.

The good news is that unless the Buccos get 6 in the bottom of the ninth, the Brewers won't hang 20 on us.

If the pirates want to be a true contender this year and not be the same ole bucs, they need to start beating the brewers and padres.

In the first game of the Cardinals series at PNC, the Bucs lost 10-6 after being down 10-1. They came back and won the next game.
In the first game of the Cardinals series at Busch, the Bucs lost 9-1. They came back to win the next two.

Its one game. Yeah, Miller Park has been a house of horrors but . . . last night was just one game. You hand the ball to MickieD and hope that he brings his "A" game. The Brewers' line-up matches up very well against Wandy. Very well. Throw in the fact that Wandy's control was way off and it was a receipe for disaster.

One game at a time. One series at a time. No good to dwell.

Just don't get swept, that should be the current goal anytime we see MIL. You can have an awfully good season by avoiding losing streaks and winning a fair share of series.
