Another great Pirate, come from behind win... Love this team so far.

STARTER: Burnett again did not have his best stuff, but kept the Bucs in the game...making it through 6 innings, 2 earned runs. Calling this a good start.

WIN: Burnett came out in line to take the loss, but the Bucco bats came through and got him a win. He is now 2-2 with 2.83 ERA.

HOLDS: Watson (6) and Melancon (9) do it again! Each of them pitch a scoreless inning to earn saves. Watson's ERA now 2.77, while Melancon's is 0.64.

SAVE: Well, Grilli give up his first run of the season but still picks up his league leading 10th save!

Honorable Mention: Wandy Rodriguez gets an HM for getting a hit as a PH when there were no bench guys available!

STAR #3: Pedro gets a couple hits in 5 ABs and scores a run.

STAR #2: Clint Barmes comes through with 2 hits and a walk and scores the go ahead run in the 7th.

Star #1: Russell Martin with a 2-4 including a double, a HR, 2 Runs and 2 RBI. Love this guy! His HR tied the game at 2-2 after the Bucs had been scoreless for 6 innings.

It seems like Burnett's been quite shaky lately, BUT, he always seems to strike his way out of jams. That's a tough turn of phrase there.

Me too, I am just worried when I see three-two counts on just about every hitter and he's hitting 70 pitches in the fourth inning. As Crash Davis used to say, "Dude get some ground outs. They're more democratic."
