Teke in both photos - that is great, IA.

Is he any relation to the really heavy-set guy who works as a commentator for the Pirates? ;)

Wandy should probably expect to get some calls on the corners. Ump is opening the plate tonight.

He'll probably get pinched though.

Don't challenge Cutch.

I tell you what, Dan isineita or whatever the home plate umps name is terrible so far. Marte walked but on the 3-0 pitch, halladay was 8 inches off the plate but he called it a strike, I know vets get calls but come on. The cutch and jones called third strikes were bad too.

batterup, I don't like to disagree but those pitches were way too close to take. Those guys (Snider, Cutch, Jones) did not protect the plate. All three Pirates had TWO strikes on them. They were called out watching strike three go by on pitches way too close to take...way too close to take.

We can disagree or agree on those pitches being strikes or not but my contention is those pitches were way too close to take considering all three Pirates had two strikes on them.

I agree with you, I hate when we or any player has two strikes and they don't protect the plate, cut h though had a full count and looked like had a walk so I won't get on him, snider was bad and jones was too close. I was more pissed with the strike one call to marte, even though he did eventually get the walk

John Mcdonald, despite nothing to show for it, has hit two more balls harder than anything Clint Barmes has in the last week.....

Pirates playing some 'heads up' baseball lately. That's (at least) the second time this week that they've nabbed a lead runner and/or runner at the plate.

Good job by Wandy getting out of that 1-out jam, too.

Taking care of such little things is a welcome sight.

Wish Walker had hit a fly ball there.

And what were Vegas' odds that Pedro hits a HR, and and RBI single??
