Hughes has nothing to give to this ballclub anymore. Hes too predictable, only has 2 pitches, and has no command of either one. It worked when nobody had a scouting report on him, but now that he does, he sucks.

Hughes was an effective middle reliever last year, not worried about him through less than ten IP this year, however I'm not sure I agree with keeping him in for a second inning there. The strategy is sound given that this is a four-game series against the best team in baseball, however I don't think Hughes's low K rate bodes well for going more than one inning against this Atlanta line-up. I think I go with Melancon there, however I would never construct my bullpen management to care about the "save" statistic.

Until Pedro starts doing it with consistency , I won't change my opinion.

Negative much? He'll get it going. Not the only name in the game off to a slow start.

Tough one to lose.

The Bucs have to keep the bats going vs. ATL's fearsome threesome...

Sucks to lose this one. Lots more of the gauntlet left. See if this team can hold on until the starting rotation strengthens. 3 through 5 guys in the rotation aren't part of teams that win consistently.

Kudos to the braves bullpen. They've been good for quite a few years now.

Kimbrell is absolutely wicked. His breaking ball is knee buckling.
