We are doing two nights of 6 hours each night of parent teacher conferences. If anyone wants to know some of the challenges and where the issues may be this may be enlightening. We have a 6th grader who is a boundary exception and never gets to school for first or sometimes 2nd period. His original schedule had him in math class first period which he missed almost everyday. Counselors changed his schedule so he had PE first hour with the logic that it would be less of an impact for him to miss PE rather than Math. Ok. That works for us. At his conference we talked at length about his tardiness. At one point, mom asked if he could just have first period taken off his schedule.     Now there is a solution.
