 Post subject: Pittsburgh breaks a classic tune.......

......The Show Stoppers, which included two of Solomon Burke's younger brother, a Philly Northern Soul act broke this song in Pittsburgh and NY. Was later covered by J. Geils Band. I found this video, which highlights different areas of Pittsburgh, while surfing youtube this morning.

I participated in swim meets and baseball games at Allegheny High, swim meets at Fifth Avenue High, and football games at Arsenal Field, which was Schenley used as it's home field. Fifth Avenue closed in 1977, Allegheny around 1979, Schenley just a few years ago, and now they're going to close my old school, Langley High.

Peabody and South Hills are also long gone.

I'm getting old. :cry:
