What a concert!!!! I am not a huge U2 fan. I can take them or leave them, but Mrs Animal likes them so we go.

But I am never disappointed by one of their concerts. Well worth the money, relatively speaking.

Played for 2 hours 20 minutes...nice mix of new, old, and super old! Great lighting, special effects. Just a great time. I can do without drunken idiots at the concert, but what are you gonna do?

Funny part...Bono talked a lot about Pittsburgh, (the last stop on the tour). Mentioned Dan Rooney. Mentioned playing at the Decade 30 years ago.

When he introduced the band, he compared each one to a native Pittsburgher. He called the drummer, the "charles Bronson" of U2. Guitar player was introduced as "the band's Perry Como". The Edge was called the "Andy Warhol" of U2...and introduced himself as the "Christina Agulara" of the band. Kinda funny.

Bono talked abotu Gabby Giffords and her contribution to society and dedicated...then her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, introduced "Beautiful Day" from satellite on the International Space Station. Bono then dedicated the song to Giffords. Gotta say, I was nearly in tears!

Oh, and something shocking...for about 5 mintues, chant, loud and wide ranging went on...."LET'S GO BUCS! LET'S GO BUCS!" Simply amazing.

I had a bunch of friends who went and all said it was a great show...I'm not much of a fan and couldnt see myself dishing out the money to see them. I've spent alot of money this year to see bands.
