I have watched with great interest this fight over the budget for this year. There have been false claims going all over the place and no one putting the facts in front of Americans. It is clear to me that the average citizen believes that we can cut spending to eliminate all debt without impacting their lives.

In the past several days the issue of can we pay social security if we don't pass this debt ceiling. The short answer is yes we can. We have in our budget a division between required spending and discretionary spending. In the first catagoery are Social security, medicade, medicare, and interest on the debt. We get enough revenue to pay these areas as required and a little more.

However almost all the rest is in jeaperdy. So what? Here's what:
Homeland security
Veterens benefits/ Hospitals
College loans
Highway/ Bridge construction
Federal Prision System
Education Dept.
Justice Dept.
The State Dept.

Imagime the number of jobs and taxes generated by people in these jobs. There are so many people who would not be paid that everyone else would lose the money that they would have spent. It will have an unbelievable effect on all of us. To think that's not true is terribly wrong. Housing sales, contruction, grocery stores, department stores, car sales, banks and everything else would be hurt and laying people off.

The stock market would go down thousands of points effecting IRA's.

We simply can not let this happen-- Those leaders who say it won't harm America are either not very intelligent or must want to cause harm to all of us.

One more comment-- government is compromise and those who refuse to compromise don't understand democracy -- NO ONE GETS EVERYTHING THEY WANT UNLESS WE HAVE A DICTATORSHIP.

2011 Will Be Our Year -- well make that 2012 (just saying) So it looks like 2013 now - how long must this go on!
THIS IS IT-- NO MORE STREAK!!! *** Finally*** Time to win it in 2014
