Are we again seeing signs of lack of scoring goals as a norm again? Are the Pens a two player team (Crosby and Malkin) as far as making their offense run?

I watched the Pens vs Jets game last night and it seems that all the Pens are doing are skating around not really doing anything as far as putting pressure on the opponent, earning good solid scoring chances, AND scoring goals.

That's with this Penguin team looked like the second half of last season with Crosby and Malkin out of the lineup.

Name any team in the league that would not struggle to score goals without their best two players. No one has depth to overcome this type of situation in the salary cap era. We saw this team for 3 months last spring, this should be no surprise. In hockey the impact of your star players is so vast that it makes everyone look much better or worse when they are gone.

Yes, you are correct. You would think this team has more talent on it to score more goals even with Crosby and Malkin out of the lineup! :?

Crosby is still out, it's only the first month and they're still in first.

Wake me up if/when the Pens are struggling like the Sharks.
