Post subject:  Steelers in Scouts, Inc.'s Top 200 NFL Players

I thought we could use a thread to discuss the Steeler players who made the Scouts, Inc. Top 200 Players list and debate it.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/ ... r-rankings

8 -- QB Ben Roethlisberger
13 -- OLB James Harrison
18 -- SS Troy Polamalu
46 -- ILB Lawrence Timmons
54 -- WR Mike Wallace
59 -- OLB LaMarr Woodley
102 -- RB Rashard Mendenhall
123 -- NT Casey Hampton
128 -- C Maurkice Pouncey
154 -- ILB James Farrior
165 -- CB Ike Taylor
180 -- DE Aaron Smith
192 -- TE Heath Miller
196 -- WR Hines Ward

In all, your Pittsburgh Steelers have 14 of the top 200 players in the NFL (going into the 2011 season) according to Scouts, Inc. Personally, I believe that Heath Miller, Ike Taylor and Maukice Pouncey are underrated, while Casey Hampton, Aaron Smith and Hines Ward are overrated. I also believe that Brett Keisel was wrongfully omitted, as he is one of the most disruptive and producted 3-4 defensive ends in the game.

So what do yinz think? Answer these queries:

1. What Steelers on the list are underrated?
2. What Steelers on the list are overrated?
3. What Steelers aren't on the list that you believe should be on the list?

Wallace and Woodley. It's okay though, they'll move up in years time.

Arguably Big Ben.

While he is intrisic to the Steelers success and a perfect fit for their offensive schemes, he is by no means the 8th best player in the league.

He might be the 8th most key to team success, but not 8th most talented.

Maybe Ryan Clark... maybe.

1. What Steelers on the list are underrated?
Troy Polamalu, come on, name 5 players better than him when healthy.
Maurkice Pouncey, already best in the league after 1 year.
Heath Miller, doesn't get the pub because his catch numbers fluctuate so much, so good all around.

2. What Steelers on the list are overrated?
James Harrison, he can still be dominant at times, but I think his best days are behind him.
James Farrior, seems a bit high too, again an age issue.
Aaron Smith, really, top 200, I don't think he can be counted on with his serious injuries and mileage.

3. What Steelers aren't on the list that you believe should be on the list?
None, we have 14 of 22 starters, that's amazing. Top 200 is less than 7 guys per team.

Heath is definitely underrated. If this were the Top 200 fantasy football players, then fine, but Heath does everything really, really well.
