I was at Game 1 of the Kelly Cup (ECHL) Finals tonight instead, but very surprised to see that final score. I have seen so many scenarios happen though, I wouldn't say Game 2 is a must-win, though yes it would be nice.

The Pens played awful. With that said, it was one game and it was on the road. They need to steal one from Detroit some time. Why not Monday?

The Red Wings are very good but the Penguins can play with them.

Not really. Went to high school with Greg McDermott so I wish him nothing but success (with the exception of the head-to-head matchup). Sounds like the player is blaming McDermott. We all know who wins these battles . . . usually.

I thought it had been a very well and evenly officiated game thus far, but that was a really inept penalty call on Malone in the 3rd when the Pens had just went on the PP and one that I do not want to see called in the Stanley Cup Finals. The result is of course a Red Wings goal on the 4-on-4. These first two games, Detroit has definitely shut the Pens 'O' down with their defense, which has been their biggest strategy, and they have definitely outplayed the Pens tonight, I am not blaming anything on the officials, just thought that was a really poor call.

And ... Roberts punches Franzen.

Keys to pens non success
1. Red Wings are shutting them down while on the other side no penguins are stepping up to take the puck away from the red wings offense.
2. Officiating is giving penguins really bad calls at key moments of the game and they are letting detroit get away with their bullying and tripping our stars.

I'm sticking to my pick of Pens in 6.

Chris Osgood flopped like a little bitch all night. That shit won't fly in Pittsburgh.

Good for the Pens. Since I went to the Pirates game tonight I got home to catch most of the 3rd. I predicted they would come out a different team at home and they did just that. Crosby poured it on, but probably the most key thing to the win was the huge penalty kill late in the game after a really stupid hooking penalty by Malkin. Fleury came up with the big saves he needed down the stretch and stopped 30 + in the win, I love how there are still doubters that he "deserves to be in the Stanley Cup against Osgood". Those comments just crack me up, and yes, being in a relatively neutral area, I have heard them quite a bit.

I'm in a neutral area too. If you consider Texas, a place where 95% of people don't know what hockey is, neutral.

Ahh yes Tyler. At least Tyler has trees and was greener than the metroplex. I was in Tyler one time for a seminar at some college(dont remember the name) Always remember the Interstate signs when we would head to Shreveport
I liked going to Austin. Lake Travis is beuatiful and the area reminded me of Pittsburgh with the hills.
