* Away game so this is not my summary *

Port Charlotte, FL- The Bradenton Marauders (8-12) were shutout for a second consecutive game, falling 1-0 to the Charlotte Stone Crabs (11-9) on Thursday night. Bradenton got a runner as far as third base only once in the game.

Daniel Cabrera (L 0-1) started for the Marauders, making his first regular season appearance in the Marauders organization. Cabrera allowed one run on seven hits over six innings. He struck out five. Cabrera, who twice led the American League in walks with the Orioles, did not walk a batter. He hit one.

Braulio Lara (W 1-0) held the Marauders to two hits over five innings, striking out six. Carlos Paulino had both hits off Lara and finished the game 2-4.

The lone run of the game scored on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. With one out, Mikie Mahtook launched a fly to left that Wes Freeman caught on the run. Robi Estrada scored easily.

Elazier Suero (SV 1) made the solo run stand up over the final four innings for his first save. Stefan Welch's two-out single in the ninth was the only hit allowed by Suero.

The Marauders conclude the series tomorrow night at the Charlotte Sports Park. First pitch is at 6:30pm. The game will be broadcast on News Talk 930 WLSS and online at WLSSradio.com. The Marauders will continue the road trip with three games in Jupiter over the weekend.
