Tony Sanchez hit his 3rd HR of the season yesterday, along with 2 walks. For the year, Sanchez is hitting a remarkable .348/.476/.606, with 3 HR's, 18 RBI's and 14 walks in 66 at bats. He leads the league in OBP and OPS, and is third in slugging. He is playing DH quite a bit. Not sure why. His defensive abilities behind the plate have always been a plus for Sanchez.

Meanwhile, the endless search for a potentially dominant pitcher continues and Bryan Morris is making a move. He went 7 innings, gave up 4 hits, 0 walks, 0 runs, and logged 7 K's. For the season, in 27.2 innings, he has walked 3 and fanned 26, while giving up 0 HR's. He is 2-0 with an ERA of 0.98.

Good and positive things for the future as i may say so..

Morris was in the Bay trade, and was a big piece in the trade if he would make his potentials..

Still believe the trade wasn't a bust, because the pirates definately could not keep Bay and if Andy keeps improving
i think NH did well.. but Morris is the Key piece in this trade

Bucfan,

Sanchez hurt his shoulder so he has been DHing for over a week.

It's great to hear Sanchez is hitting so well. As someone mentioned he isn't catching due to a shoulder injury.

We know about his defense already so I am not worried there as long as the injury doesn't linger.
