That is true. Bixler has struggled to do anything on offense.

When Bautista has a bad game hitting (something that occurs far too often), the the 7-9 hitters basically do nothing. That is 1/3 of the lineup. That means the Pirates have 6 innings to score, while the opposition has 8 (counting the pitcher as a throwaway) or even 9 (if the pitcher can help the offense).
