Right now it looks like the game might not be happening tonight. This storm doesn't seem to be letting up and i'm fourty five minutes west of Pittsburgh.
So thats means money money money at the concession stands tonight...

Can we rain out the season? I've hit the mid-season boredom with this team...again. I can't wait until late September when Pearce and McCutchen make us excited for next season. This never ending cycle is old. I fall for it every...stinkin'...year.

Nice work by Taubenheim. Really hit the spots and came up with two big K's, to keep the first inning from spinning out of control.

P.S. Bucfan's son is becoming his high school team's closer. Came up with his second save of the week today. One inning, 10 pitches, 8 strikes, three groundballs, three outs.

Hey, Taubenheim already is off to a better start than Barthmaier was last night.

Well, marginally better, anyway.

But with the heart of the Rays' batting order up he could have choked , and he didn't.

Keep swinging at the first pitch, Rays. Taubenheim will be able to go 12 innings at this rate.

I like Taubenheim so far at this point.
It's nice to see a call-up that isnt just tall and skinny.
Taubenheim is smaller and stronger.

Sigh. It just doesn't seem as though LaRoche is going to get over his funk -- if that's the right word -- at all this year.

And Taubenheim gets himself out of another jam. Nice work, young man.

Holy crud, great at bat by Taubenheim. Laid off pitches out of the strike zone and crushed a ground rule double.

Six solid innings of work. At 101 pitches, Taubenheim won't come back out for the 7th. But he (and Russell) can be pleased with tonight's effort. Too bad the offense didn't give him much help.

Uh, in what world is 6'6" "smaller"?

Excellent showing by Taubenheim, and I wouldn't be at all displeased if they kept him up to make another start.

Nice win. Give the bullpen credit after Marte, especially Beam and JVB.

Good to see J-Bay back this year. First walkoff HR of his career.

There still is hope.

I've been dealing with AC trouble here at the house tonight, so I was thrilled when I saw this score.

I'd love to pick up a win tomorrow to end interleague.

It would be a good way to close it out.Especially after what happen in Baltimore and Chicago.

It would also help build a little momentum for run up to the All Star break.
