To clear room for Bautista.

That means we aren't just looking at a spot starter...he will probably miss 3 starts.

God I hope we don't have to watch VanBenScrotum make 3 starts.

No. Quite frankly I'd rather see a blunt #2 pencil jammed in my eyes.

Barthmeier might be interesting, but I would predict bad things there as he probably isn't ready (3 good starts in AAA don't qualify you for big league duty).

Herrera would also be interesting, though I think ultimately a failure. I guess I want to see someone new fail, I'm sick of all the old failures.

And if the choices outside of the organization are Taveras, Tomko, and Chacon (probably not anymore), I don't want to see any of them either.

Truly, I was hoping Ian would only miss one start.

Of the rather unappetizing options from within the organization, I'd ratehr see Barthmeier for 3 starts. It could give us some sense if he is anything worth anything.
