There is no better word for this game.

Gorzo is just lost. 2-0 but only one walk (the Pitcher) sigh

9 up, 9 down for us.

Bottom of the third.

They start off third with a double

Go Bucs -- hard to stay upbeat.

With all due respect, and the concession that I am only watching the Pirates during breaks in the Pens game, getting shut down by Wainwright is not pathetic. This is not a guy who is in the STBHOF...he is a solid pitcher, and IMO, generally underappreciated.

Gorzo, on the other hand...well what can you say? Thanks, Tracy!

I dont think Substitute is focusing totally on the 9 up and 9 down, he's probably concerned about the fact that our starter can't freakin hold the water or maybe the fact that we are probably the only team that picks a guy off and still can't get him out. Maybe something like that???

Recent grand slams by Rivas and Michaels, who would have thunk it. Michaels has been nothing short of superb from the PH position, and I was saying that before the salami tonight.

McLouth leads off with a single let's get the lead here ...

Let's hope Osoria can get through the 8th here. Hopefully it is the Reds-series Osoria who came in to relieve Gorzo, not the Osoria from a couple nights ago.

Damn, and so close too. Oh well, let's it done Marte. One out is all we're asking for. But again, I want to see the usual Marte, not the Reds series Marte.

Good thing Jack decided to have that meeting with Joggin Ronny! It payed off as the grounder came right to him. And not only that but had Jack not been back, Luis Rivas might have bobbled that ball and loaded the bases.

When's the last time Capps has been a save situation? Seriously.

Nice win, coming in I didn't think we had a chance to salvage this series, facing a good pitcher and Gorzo on the mound. It represented what most Pirates wins have been like this year - come from behind, involved the bats of McLouth and Bay, a clutch pinch hit, and a good outing by the bullpen after a poor start by the SP, a slight improvement for Gorzo, but still, well, not good.

Nice to see Capps can still convert on save opportunity - I had almost forgotten what that is like.
