We all saw what he did against the Pirates in his big league debut, and he is doing the same against Atlanta (in which the Reds are going for the sweep of right now). A walk-off HR in the 10th win it last night. What a debut this guy is having. Still batting .667 with a homer, 3 RBI's, 3 runs, and 2 stolen bases.

He homered in today's game. What I don't get is that even though he hit very, very well in the minors, he also fanned at an alarming rate.

To this point, that has not happened in the majors. He is putting the ball in play extremely well and avoiding the K's that seemed to plague him in the minors.

What the heck; why bother with the formalities? Let's vote him into the HOF right now.

No point in waiting to see what happens once pitchers adjust to him.

Okay Mr. Cynic, no one mentioned anything about him being a future HOFer (or even close to that). All I said is that this guy is having a nice big league debut. Boy, you would sure hate living in Cincinnati. You're right. He's probably going to suck. Beginner's luck I say!

It sure looks loke he'll be a great player. What is there to indicate anything else.

If he were a Pirate we would all be excited about him and his future.

We can only hope that when Andrew McCutchen gets his call up, he is just as successful. For all the hype, he has definitely lived up to it the first week.

Make that 3 homers. One hell of a first week in the big leagues.

"The Boss" (that's a new nickname for Bruce that newspaper writers are trying to experiment with here in Cincinnati) was big again tonight but thankfully for the Bucs, the Reds finally cooled off. And hopefully their struggles continue to carry on the road even despite the recent big home success.
