Well, let's see if we can salvage one from the "Big Red Machine."

It's 1-1 in the 3rd. Freddy singled to start the game, scored on Jack Wilson's double..

Bay homers again. Our outfield has become quite productive.

So this is what its like when the starting pitching keeps the Bucs in the game. Nice.

Who knows we may not win but it sure looks good to see the Pirates playing baseball. Nice 7-1 and we're actually pitching. Only 2 hits and one unearned run in the 6th.

It looked like they would beat us easily with Harang pitching against their cast-off from last year. Good going Bucs

With each start I'm liking Dumatrait more and more.

Wow, Dumatrait is really tearing that lineup apart...

I agree, as of right now he is the only starting pitcher that I trust.

It's funny. Dumatrait is the only starter the new regime is responsible for. Hopefully, that's a good sign.

Not sure how good of a sign it is that Dumatrait, a waiver acquisition (but a talented guy and former first round pick, to be fair), is the best starter on the staff.

That was my point Bucfan. I understand that it's not good he's the best. But NH and company went out and got him. The others were Littlefields band of merry men.

They WOULD play two of the most embarrassing games of the year with me in attendance only to completely dominate the 3rd game when I had other plans and couldn't even watch it. Alas, great job by Dumatrait. He is and has been our best pitcher right now, no doubt, but the way the Reds line-up had been hitting, I almost couldn't believe the numbers I read when I got home tonight. And the best part is that everyone in Cincinnati (including the radio announcers) completely wrote this game off as a Reds sweep before it even happened, due to it being their ace Harang against former Red Dumatrait who had a couple of awful outings leading to them releasing him. Revenge is sweet.

I also liked Russel's decision to give McLouth the night off tonight and give Michaels some playing time. Smart move considering Nate's struggles this series, get him fresh out there against St. Louis.

Nate was hitting below .100 against Harang, so it was a good decision that was supported by the history.
