Doc,

Is it really that cold over there? I'm wearing shorts and basking in 80 degrees! (just got home from work in time to hear Freddy's clutch hit).

Two outs then a walk to Blanco and the frickin' pitcher. Yank his ass......

Please let it not be Osorio.

All right, you got 6 out of Duke. Now go get him a couple of more runs.

Now its time for 1 inning from Yates; 1 inning from Marte and 1 inning from Capps.

Burnett in long relief for Game #2 if JVB falters. Grabow and Osoria in the wings for relief.

When I went to grab lunch the bank thermometer said 45 degrees...very overcast with sporadic showers.

It's been a while since we had a grand slam (don't jinx him, Ollie!)

Bixler could "ice" this one.
Did I really suggest that could happen?!

Hats off to the Pirates pitchers today, overcoming 4 (so far) errors by the Bucco fielders.

What happened to Bautista in the bottom of the sixth? ESPN had him up w/runners at second and third, then nothing further. Finally, they have the inning ending w/Bixler grounding out and no additional runs scoring ... and Gomez taking Bautista's place at 3B. Wha'd I miss?

Bautista walked. JR then double switched him so that the pitchers spot, which was due to lead off, would go to Gomez.

Dwight Schrute: "Question, has there ever been a game in MLB history where a team wins despite committing more errors than the number of runs scored and base hits?"

Yes, I would sacrifice Michaels in this situation.
