Post subject:  A's Softest Opponent Before All Star Break?

here's a look at how upcoming opponents have fared based on where the pirates will face them, i.e. at home or on the road - none of the teams the pirates take on prior to the all star break (phils, cubs, a's and mets) are playing above .500 when looked at from this angle. for example, the a's are playing .500 on the road and are just 3-7 in their last 10 road games, having lost their last 2. ironically, on paper, the a's look like the toughest opponent the bucs will face prior to the break but maybe that's not the case. for example the bucs face the mets in new york where the mets are 7-3 in their last 10 home games, including having won their last 2. of course this could all change before the bucs actually face these teams but it's interesting nonetheless imo.

whatever the case, the 15 games following the all star break, against the reds, nats, marlins and cards, look daunting based on the above take, i.e. based on where the bucs will face them. currently the reds are .659 at home, the nats .590 at home and the cards are .628 on the road. even the marlins are .429 at home, much better than their .370 record. gonna be a fun ride.
