Sad and funny at the same time.

Mercer should be starting at SS and Inge at 2B. Barmes is so over at this point.

I think I cheered louder for that HR by Mercer than any all year!

ONe thing I have noticed but don't think has been mentioned is that Russell Martin runs really good for a catcher.... 8-) 8-)

Yeah, me too. And Cutch crushed his HR, to go with a pair of hits, but this is far bigger.

Close game, runner on third, and pitcher on deck...Barmes shown the respect he has earned. Pitcher fills up strike zone and gets a weak groundout....typical.

I'm guessing one more inning for AJ.

If Snider is healthy, why didn't he start?

Or not. I guess if he feels alright after 95 pitches, might as well leave him in.

Great question. Sometimes the whole left vs right thing goes too far. Definitely would rather have snider in right ahead of Inge.

So anyone want to bet Jordy is on the bench tomorrow and Barmes and Inge start up the middle?

I'm guessing they wanted to sit him vs. a LHP. Not that I agree, his platoon splits aren't as drastic as someone like Jones who you only want hitting RHP, and I think it's dumb to give Inge his first start in OF since 5 years because he of his Drew Sutton/Xaiver Paul-esque start.

WTF just happened with Mercer's at-bat? Why did he not get to go to first base on ball 4?

Melancon vs. Harper ... absolutely beautiful. Three swings, three misses.

Pens pooped the bed. Consols ice looks sloppy. Players falling all over.
