Why the hell are they throwing Locke today, instead of Wandy?

Why upset the rotation?

I can already predict how today's game goes. Bucs bats come alive and we get our first homer and score three or four runs, while Locke gets pasted by that Dodger lineup that Sanchez and Burnett held down pretty well.

Final score 8-4!

They need this game really, really badly and they are doing this?

Because Wandy would be going on three days rest.

Can't see the bucs winning this. Jin-ryu is pretty tough. He's not going to give you much and we have our 5th starter out there and Locke would be in Indy if not for injuries. More struggles.

Mckenry batting 5th today? I'm convinced Clint Hurdle is just trolling us now.

Tabatta batting 7th. At this point, I'm with trying anything to get the Lumber Company on track.

I think Charlie's got it right. We're just shaking up the order a bit to get everyone off center.

This is why it was important to appreciate and recognize the excellent starting pitching from up to this point despite the offense being non-existent. This is what could have been happening at the same time, and then imagine how ugly the start would have looked. Not giving up on Locke after an inning, mind you, and that was bad luck on the two-run single, just saying. If the Pirates finally score some runs, our pitchers might not still be able to hold the other team to 1-3 runs themselves.

Tabata pops up on a 3-0 count. Wtf! No patience at the plate. Why we aren't scoring.

Hey, we scored runs. We got ahead. We hit a homerun!

Baby steps, folks. I was going to start a ghoul pool re: our homerlessness, so let's accentuate the positives.
