- Indy defeated Columbus 5-3, no help from Kyle McPherson who gave up all of those runs during his 3IP. This was mostly due to control issues in a disastrous second inning in which after getting a quick two outs, McPherson walked the bases loaded (including hitting a batter) and then gave up a 2-run single. He hit another batter the next inning. Vin Mazarro relieved McPherson who tossed 4 shutout innings while striking out 6(!) Presley and Mercer continued their strong starts for the Indians, and Ivan DeJesus tripled. Bryan Morris pitched a 1-2-3 ninth.

- Jameson Taillon pitched 5 scoreless innings to lead Altoona over Eerie, striking out 4 and giving up 4 hits (all singles). One thing interesting here is that Sea Wolf baserunners were stealing all kinds of bases during Taillon's innings, although some quick research on Curve catcher Charles Cutler shows that he is considered to be a pretty poor defensive catcher. nad69dan already made a thread about Taillon's start, not trying to step on any toes here, Dan. Offensively, Andrew Lambo went 3-4 with a HR and a double, nice to see him get off to a hot start this year compared to last and with the injury. Alex Dickerson stayed hot and hit a double.

- Brandenton remain winless after dropping a slugfest to Fort Myers, 10-6. Organization depth SP Matt Benedict got absolutely shelled, giving up 8 hits and 9 runs through 4 IP. If anyone is still paying attention to Zack Von Rosenberg, he came in in relief and gave up a HR although he did strike out a pair in 0.2 IP. Alen Hanson tripled and picked up a pair of hits.

Yeah they (Miracle) had 5 runs after the first inning. We were doomed from the start.
It was an away game so I have no pictures. Home game today at 1pm will have pictures later.
