Jameson Taillon (born November 18, 1991 in Winter Haven, Florida) is a Canadian American professional baseball pitcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization of Major League Baseball. Taillon was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates as the second overall pick in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft.

As he was born in Florida and his parents were born in Canada, Taillon is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada and the highest draft pick ever taken from Canada

I also had no idea that Ken Ober passed away (speaks volumes about his "celebrity status"). I also don't recall Jenny McCarthy being on the show.

I don't see any mention of Jenny McCarthy.

Funny story. Ken Ober and Colin Quinn came to the U of Iowa in 1988 (I think) to judge potential contestants for the show. One student - wearing a pair of khakis and a button down shirt - got up and started singing the National Anthem. About 1/4 of the way through the song, a dark spot started to appear on the front of his khakis and it kept growing and growing. His "schtick" to get on the show was to purposefully wet his pants while singing the National Anthem without missing a beat. I thought Ken Ober was going to wet his pants he was laughing so hard. The crowd, including myself, was laughing and cheering like crazy. Both Ober and Quinn immediately agreed that the student could appear on the show.

Fun memory.

No Jenny

Remote Control was hosted by Ken Ober and featured Colin Quinn as the gravel-voiced announcer/sidekick. John Ten Eyck played several walk-on parts, joined in later seasons by Adam Sandler, Denis Leary, and Roger Kabler. Steve Treccase provided music; Marisol Massey (Season One), Kari W├╝hrer (Seasons Two and Three), Alicia Coppola (Season Four) and Susan Ashley (Season Five) were the hostesses. Although uncredited, Jani Berry provided the off-camera voice as the character of Ken Ober's mother.

This is how I prefer to remember her, and not as the raging harpy crusading against children's vaccines.

Indeed, I am. It's a controversial position, I know. ;)
