LAA signs Josh Hamilton for 5 years $125 million. Hamilton, Pujols, Trout sheesh. Who's pitching again?

Can't complain about Trout: he's making league minimum.

If you are a small market owner, why do you want to continually watch all of this crap go down....yet they sit idly by at every contract negotiation. :?

It is getting pretty concerning when a handful of teams are going with the Yankee model and the Cubs will probably jump on board in the next year or two. Then we have to contend with the excellent Cardinals front office and their previous front office in Cincy.

Given how poorly he performed in the 2nd half (.227/.271/.359), would you still want him?

Shirley, you must be joking.

He's only 26, making league minimum, has four more years of team control and is a 1B/RF with pop...

It's terribly unlikely that the Pirates could land him (or that the Angels would opt to trade him over Bourjos), but if the opportunity presented itself the answer would be a resounding YES.

The other question you should ask yourself is does Jones have value to Texas now? And the fact that they lost Napoli, Young, and Hamilton make them over pay?

Good question.

In theory they could just slide Mike Olt over to first (platooning him with Moreland) and let Leonys Martin prowl in Center, but would they really intrust their WS fortunes with two kids (three counting Profar)?

Maybe they make a run at Bourn now?

I personally think when they decided to trade Young they really thought they would get Hamilton.
