1) Gregg Ritchie is out as hitting coach, he resigned to take a position as a manager at his alma mater.

2) I missed this Tuesday, but the new TV deal details were released and its big news for spending. The deal is $12 billion for 8 years, which is $1.5 billion a year broken down into $50 million per team. The old deal was $23.7 million per team. That gives the Bucs (and everyone else)an extra $26.3 million in revenue. This is big news for free agents to be as most every team now will have added revenue to spend. It also will allow the Bucs to spend in the range north of $70 million in payroll with no other changes in revenue. Just keep in mind that everyone gets this money so the cost of business will go up and our payroll will likely be remain low in comparison.

I want to get this warmed up for the off-season

"Cheap Nuttings!"

Good! Still in mid-season form.

Not shocked at all about Ritchie.

Yeah on paper the new tv money sounds great but all it will do is drive up the prices of slightly above average to average players from now on.

*sigh*

Sadly, you are probably correct.

Still, Bucs need an Edwin type to fill out their rotation. Maybe inquire on Garza or Shields? Bet the farm on Grienke (why NOT)?!

Just need one more legit, solid arm to check that box.
